The Big Ten will return to Omaha in 2018 and stay through 2022, but nothing is set for 2017.

The home of the College World Series has served to be a great home for the Big Ten Tournament. The 2014 and 2016 conference tournaments produced great games, saw great individual talent shine and enjoyed great turnouts. When able to take the chance to secure TD Ameritrade Park as the home of the conference tournament, the Big Ten did so. The postseason affair will return to Omaha in 2018, and stay through the 2022 season.

However, the Big Ten has yet to name a host city and venue for the upcoming season.

Ohio State stays alive, forces MSU rematch

A well-played game between two quality teams deserves a rematch. And we’re getting it.

A healthy dose of strong pitching and good defense, was sprinkled with timely hitting to produced a good game Saturday evening, ending with an Ohio State 10-inning win over Michigan State, 3-2, setting the stage for a two-game championship Sunday.

Buckeyes bounce Wolverines from tournament

One trend bucked, another continued.

In defeating Michigan 11-4, Ohio State staved off elimination while picking up a fifth win this season against their arch-rival. With the win, Ohio State remained the lone higher seed to win a game in the tournament, turning back the underdog who was 9-1 entering the game.
